I hauled out my crusty old walkman for the cassette tape of this part of the package. And after some initial skepticism, found it hard to resist this blatently nostalgiac appeal. The lo-fi loveliness – hissing tape noise and clunking buttons – was as tactile and retro as you’d imagine, but with soundscapes that flip you into a fantasy of a different order.

For those deep techno/techno dub fans in Europe, Clone have a very limited re-stock of bvdub’s “monuments to oblivion” 12″/cassette bundle, and the 12″ by itself. When I say limited, seriously, it’s only a handful left… no more after this.

North American fans can still get the last remaining cassettes and vinyls directly from the label, see this post for more details.

I’m not sure how this slipped by us, but there is a slight tracklisting misprint on the bvdub audio cassette.
